Overview
This page will walk you through the first-time setup of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) of an user account. Motadata AIOps supports 2FA via authenticator applications (supporting time-based one-time passwords) or email verification.
Ensure Two-Factor Authentication is enabled on your account before proceeding. If not enabled, head to two-factor authenitcation settings page.
Steps to Setup Two-Factor Authentication
- Enter your Motadata AIOps credentials for login.
- Scan the QR code provided on-screen to install and download the respective authenticator app suited to your mobile device. (If you selected Email as authentication mode, skip to Step 5).
- Once the Authenticator app has been downloaded, launch the app on your mobile device. Then, scan the QR code displayed on the screen to add Motadata AIOps. Once Motadata AIOps is added, click on Next to proceed.
- Now, enter the time-based one-time password (TOTP) displayed on your mobile device and click Submit to login.
- If you used Email as authentication mode, enter the OTP received on your registered email address.
Two-Factor Authentication is now setup on your account. You will not be asked to enter TOTP from authenticator app or OTP from your email for the number of trusted days you configured at the time of enabling Two-Factor authentication.
In case the number of trusted days is set to zero, you will need to enter TOTP or OTP at each login.
