QR Code

QR codes (Quick Response codes) are two-dimensional barcodes that store information such as URLs, text, or contact details, and can be scanned by smartphones or other digital devices. They enhance asset tracking by providing quick access to asset details, tracking location and status, and streamlining inventory management.

QR codes make asset management more efficient, accurate, and scalable, improving overall operational workflow.

This page allows you to enable QR code support, select parameters for QR code generation, and create label templates.

To enable QR code support, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Asset Management > QR Code. The following page appears.

  1. Here, enable QR Code Support and select the parameters you want to use.
  2. When finished, click Update to save the preference. A new tab, Label Templates, appears.

The Label Templates tab includes the following options:

  1. Search: Search for templates by name.
  2. Add Label Templates: Click to add new label templates.
  3. Grid: Displays template details based on the selected asset type tab (Hardware, Software, or Non-IT assets).

  5. Default: Set a template as default. Only one template can be marked as default at a time.
  6. Duplicate: Create a duplicate copy of an existing template, if needed.
  7. Edit: Edit the template.

Add Label Templates
