Motadata ServiceOps Release Version 8.6.1

Release Date: March 28, 2025

What’s New?

New Features

Automation

  • Users can now use an Integration Connector Agent to connect between ServiceOps and third-party applications like Active Directory, enabling seamless integration without requiring direct connectivity.

    The key features include:

    • A dedicated Integration Connector application for executing ServiceOps actions on on-premise or cloud platforms.
    • Supports deployment on Windows and Linux systems.
    • Provides a web-based UI for remote management and troubleshooting.
    • A new Integration Connector tab has been added to the Admin > Automation > Integrations It consists of the following tabs:
      • Integration Connector List: Displays all the available connectors.
      • Integration Connector Credential Profile: Manages credentials securely. These are used while installing the Integration connector.
      • Integration Connector Audit: Tracks all connector-related activities like adding, deleting, and updating connectors. Addition, Removal, Archival, Enable, Disable, and Update in the Integration Connector Credential Profile are also tracked.
  • The App Integration page is restructured, containing the following two tabs:

    • System: Enables to configure integration with system applications or those that can be used via Integration Connector. For example, the Microsoft Active Directory application.
    • Custom: Enables to configure integration with Atlassian JIRA application.
  • IT administrators can now execute Active Directory and Open LDAP operations based on specific criteria using Workflows. To implement this, a new Execute App Integration action has been added to the Workflow.

  • The Audit Trail will display the User’s (maker) name who has initiated a change in the asset instead of System.

  • Users can now perform Google Chrome third-party patch management in Windows Server OS v2019 and 2022, enabling better security and compliance.

  • Admin users can now manually upgrade the Poller Agent on multiple systems by uploading the build in ServiceOps and selecting the target machines for the upgrade.
