Symptoms
- Email sync stops partway through and the connection is reported as closed by the server.
Root Cause
- The mail server closed the connection while ServiceOps was actively syncing.
- This can happen due to a server-side timeout, or another application accessing the same mailbox at the same time.
Resolution
- No immediate action is required. ServiceOps reconnects and retries automatically on the next polling cycle.
- If this error occurs frequently, check whether another application is connected to the same mailbox simultaneously. Limiting the mailbox to a single connection reduces session interruptions.
