Symptoms

  • The mailbox configured with Exchange/MAPI protocol fails to sync or send emails.
  • The error indicates the request to the Exchange server was rejected.

Root Cause

  • The Exchange server URL in ServiceOps is incorrect or the server is not accessible.
  • The email account doesn't have Exchange Web Services access enabled.
  • The Azure application is missing the required permissions to access the mailbox.
  • Admin consent has expired or been revoked in Azure Active Directory.

Resolution

  1. Enter the password again and save the configurations on the server card, then complete the Microsoft sign-in.
  2. Verify the Exchange server URL in the configuration is correct and accessible.
  3. If the issue persists, contact your Azure Administrator to verify the application has the required Exchange permissions and that admin consent is granted.
