11.16.3. Setting Software Type as Managed¶
A software is managed for the purpose of compliance management. A software is termed as managed when its type is set to Managed. In order to associate a license with a software, a license has to have the type set to Managed.

There are multiple ways to set Software type of a software as managed; they are:
11.16.3.1.1. Setting Software Type from Asset List View¶
A user can set the Software Type of a Software as Managed using the Bulk Update feature on the Asset List View (All Software IT Assets).

Another way is to apply the filter All Managed Software and then selecting Add Managed Software.


In the new dialog box, one can search and set software as managed.
The user can also mark multiple software as managed from the Asset List View.

One can change the Software Type of a software from its Details View
