Project Form

Streamline project management by customizing forms to efficiently capture and categorize project-related information.

This document guides administrators and consultants through the process of customizing project forms using custom fields. It explains how to modify default templates, add new custom fields, and configure existing fields to ensure that all necessary and structured information is collected for effective project tracking, management, and automation settings.

To view the Project Form, navigate to Admin > Project Management > Project Custom Fields and the below page appears.

Understanding Field Types

The page displays two types of fields:

  • Default Fields: These are the primary fields that come with the fresh installation. The field names can neither be changed nor deleted.
  • Custom Fields: These are the additional fields added from the pallet. The fields can be renamed and deleted.

Customizing the Project Form

When managing fields on the project form canvas, various customization options are available to help you arrange and configure fields effectively. These options include:

  1. Field Pallet: You can drag and drop the fields from the pallet to add into the form.
  2. Reorder: You can drag and drop the fields to change the order of the form.
  3. Expand/Collapse: You can expand and collapse the fields to show 1 in a row or 2 in a row. If collapsed, the width of the field will get reduced to half.
  4. Duplicate: You can create duplicate fields from the custom fields.
  5. Edit: You can edit the fields, make them mandatory, or change their characteristics.
  6. Remove: You can delete the custom fields and not the default.

Adding Custom Fields

The Field Pallet provides a variety of custom field types that you can add to your project form. To add a new field, simply drag and drop the desired field type from the pallet onto the form canvas.

For detailed information on each custom field type, including its specific configuration options, use cases, and how to set up properties like default values, character limits, and permissions, please refer to the Request Form documentation.
