Alert List

The Alert List page displays all active alerts from your ObserveOps instance. It is designed to give on-call engineers a fast, scannable view of what is happening in the environment right now.

To view the Alert List:

Tap the Alerts icon on the bottom navigation bar. The following page appears.

The page displays the following features:

  1. Search: Search for alerts using keywords such as device name, alert name, or description. Tap the search icon to expand the search bar.
  2. Severity Filter: Filter the alert list by severity. Tap Filter and select one or more severity levels: Critical, High, Medium, Low.
  3. Advanced Filter: Refine your results by specific criteria such as Alert ID, Source Device, Status, Time Range, and more. Tap the Advanced Filter icon to expand the options. For long lists of filter fields, a search bar within the Advanced Filter helps you quickly locate the desired criteria.
  4. Refresh: Pull down on the alert list to trigger a manual data refresh and see the latest alerts.
  5. Alert Cards: Each alert appears as a card in the list. Tap any card to open the full alert details.

What Each Alert Card Shows

Each alert card in the list displays at a glance:

FieldDescription
Alert NameThe name of the triggered alert rule.
Source DeviceThe hostname or IP of the device that triggered the alert.
SeverityColour-coded severity badge: Critical (red), High (orange), Medium (yellow), Low (blue).
Triggered AtThe date and time the alert was first triggered.
StatusCurrent state of the alert: Active, Acknowledged, or Resolved.

Filtering Alerts by Severity

To filter the alert list by severity:

  1. Tap the Filter icon on the top bar.
  2. Select one or more severity levels from the options: Critical, High, Medium, Low.
  3. Tap Apply. The list updates to show only alerts matching the selected severity levels.
  4. To clear the filter, tap Filter again and tap Clear All, then Apply.
On-Call Best Practice

When responding to an incident, apply the Critical filter first to immediately surface the highest-priority alerts. Once those are reviewed, broaden the filter to include High.

Searching for an Alert

To search for a specific alert:

  1. Tap the Search icon on the top bar.
  2. Type a keyword: the device name, alert name, or any part of the alert description.
  3. The list filters in real time as you type.
  4. Tap the X icon to clear the search and return to the full list.

Data Consistency

The alert list on the mobile app reflects the same data as the ObserveOps web platform. Alerts are pulled from the backend in real time and are consistent with what is shown on the desktop interface. If you see a discrepancy, pull down to manually refresh the list. The data must match the web platform after refresh.
