CMDB

Motadata CMDB (Configuration Management Database) is comprehensive repository offering a structured view of the entire IT environment, including IT assets, services, applications, and their configurations. This feature enhances visibility into asset relationships, enabling organizations to maintain accurate configuration data and improve overall IT service management efficiency. It enables seamless management of Configuration Items (CIs) and assets, with the ability to configure Sync Rules and define their behavior, ensuring consistent synchronization between assets and CIs across the IT environment.

Our CMDB supports the extended CI Type Hierarchy and related properties so that you can manage almost all the CIs in the system. CI Type Hierarchy gives a visual view to tell where a CI belongs. Another powerful visual aid is the Relationship Mapper that builds a diagram showing all the relationships originating from a CI.

The CMDB group has the options that are specific to customize the CMDB module. It has the following features:

• CI Type: Manage the values of CI Type in CMDB.
• CI Status: Manage the values of the status dropdown in CMDB.
• CI Group: Manage the values of the CI Group dropdown in CMDB. This allows you to categorize the CIs in CMDB into groups.
• CI Custom Rules: Manage the custom rules for CI processing that complies with your organization policies.
