Overview

The Compliance module in Motadata AIOps enables automated configuration audits and compliance assessment for NCCM-managed devices. It allows organizations to define compliance rules, group them into benchmarks, apply them using policies, and evaluate device configurations against defined standards.

The module eliminates manual validation efforts by automating compliance checks across the network infrastructure and generating detailed assessment results.

How Compliance Works in Motadata

The compliance workflow in Motadata AIOps follows a structured approach:

  1. Rules
    Define individual compliance checks such as password policies, SNMP configuration, or interface settings.

  2. Benchmarks
    Group multiple rules into a benchmark targeted for a specific technology or framework.

  3. Compliance Policy
    Apply a benchmark to selected devices and define execution parameters.

  4. Assessment Execution
    Run the compliance policy manually or on a schedule.

  5. Result Evaluation
    Analyze pass/fail results and overall compliance score.

    Trigger runbooks to fix violations.
