Global Settings consists of the following:
📄️ Product License
See your product license here. The license information shows you the current usage and remaining balance of days and monitors. To access product license related details, click on the ‘Product License’. This will show the current usage and the remaining balance. You can renew your license by generating activation code.

Motadata comes along with two variants for troubleshooting utilities –
📄️ Motadata Apps
Motadata apps is the list of plugins installed in Motadata. This section is used to create and maintain plugins (we call them Motadata apps) that are used by system for different operations. With a fresh Motadata installation, all the latest plugins are provided. When we release a Motadata upgrade, we also add/updates some plugins. You can add or update the plugins from this menu.
📄️ Data Models
Data Models is the configuration to communicate with the SNMP devices and fetch information from them. Fetching information from SNMP devices can be broadly categorized in two formats:
📄️ Custom Monitor Fields
These fields hold additional information about the monitors. Use of these fields in Monitors is optional. The fields are mainly used for API communication. You can change the name of the fields. You cannot create a new field or delete any existing field.
📄️ Reset Widget Caching
When you have enabled the widget caching, Motadata stores cookies for 10 and 2 minutes for metric and log/flow widgets respectively. This option lets you clear your cookies. You need to enter administrator password to clear the cookies.
📄️ Motadata Configurations
You can edit the configuration files to enable and disable the Motadata features. After changing the configuration, you’ll need to restart Motadata from backend.
📄️ DNS Resolver
DNS resolver helps you in defining a host name with the trap IP address. This hostname reflects as a column in the trap menu.
📄️ Host Mapper
Host Mapper helps you in defining a host name with the trap IP address. This hostname reflects as a column in the trap menu.
📄️ DR Backup Configuration
- Disaster Recovery Backup can prove to be a new life to your networking system in case of crash or complete damage of system. In this event of an actual disaster, you can use DR backups to recover the complete database on new host by configuring the parameters here.
📄️ Report DB Archival Restoration
- You can see the list of all archived data here. On a later stage if you wish to restore, this option helps you to do the same.
📄️ Server Upgrade
This is a new feature/option to make the upgrade procedure easier for the user when the server needs an updation to the latest version. The list page will show the current status, version and other details of the Server.
📄️ Unplanned Activity
Here, one can add unplanned activity for future date where you can create a data and upload it in a format of .csv valid data one per device. Unplanned activity will work irrespective of date and time entered, it will show data rely on time difference. i.e if we select future date or any duration it will impact device availability status. The below image shows the history of the unplanned activity scheduled.
