Module-wise Licensing Overview
| Module | Licensing Metric | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Monitoring | Per provisioned entity: - 1 license per Network Device, Server, VM, Application, Database, Storage, WAN-Link, NetRoute - 1 license per 2 Wireless Access Points | No license required for monitoring interfaces, processes, or services. Counted once per monitored entity regardless of how many interfaces, disks, or metrics it exposes. An entity monitored both agentlessly and by agent counts once. |
| Log Monitoring | Per Log Source | One license per unique log-emitting source (hostname, IP, agent ID, or application ID). Multiple log types or files from the same source count as one source. Metering is by source count, not by data volume. |
| Flow Monitoring | Per Flow Source | One license per unique flow exporter. Multiple flow protocols or interfaces from one exporter count as one source. Metering is by exporter count, not by flows/sec or data volume. |
| Application Performance Monitoring (APM) | Per instrumented application instance (monolith) Per APM Agent (microservices) | Monolithic applications are counted per instrumented application. Microservice estates are counted per installed agent, one agent covers all services on its node or cluster. |
| Network Configuration and Compliance Management (NCCM) | Per managed network device | One license per device under config and firmware management. Counted independently of whether the device is also a monitored entity. |
| Real User Monitoring (RUM) | Per instrumented Front-end Application (FEA) | One license per unique instrumented web or mobile front-end application. |
