Agent Installation

Agents are software programs using which you can discover your device in the ServiceOps Portal. Once the devices are discovered, you can later use them for asset management, patch management, package management, etc.

This section describes the procedure to install various agents in the client or target machines. There are two type of agents:

• Discovery Agents: These are used when you only want to discover the assets for asset and patch management.
• RDP Agents: These are the agents using which you can take the remote desktop access of the target machines.
