Firmware Update Profile
Overview
The Firmware Update Profile in Motadata AIOps enables integration with Aruba Central to fetch firmware information for registered Aruba devices such as Access Points (APs), Switches, and Controllers. Once configured, the system authenticates using OAuth2, collects current firmware from devices, retrieves the latest supported firmware from Aruba Central, and compares both versions to surface upgrade visibility in the console.
Navigation
Go to Menu, select Settings . Navigate to Network Config Settings and select Firmware Update Profile.
This routes you to the Firmware Upgrade Profile landing screen. It displays the following details:

| Profile Name | Displays the name of the firmware upgrade profile. |
| Vendor | Displays the vendor associated with the profile (e.g., Aruba Networks). |
| Description | Displays the description provided while creating the profile. |
| Actions | Select Action icon to Edit or Delete the firmware profile. |
Select Create Firmware Profile to configure a new Aruba firmware integration.
A configuration panel is displayed.
Provide the following details:

| Profile Name | Enter a unique name for the firmware upgrade profile. |
| Vendor | Select the vendor. For Aruba integration, select Aruba Networks. |
| Description | Enter a description for the profile. This field is optional. |
| Server URL / API | Enter the Aruba Central Base URL used for API communication. |
| Customer ID | Enter the Aruba Central Customer ID associated with your tenant. |
| Credential Profile | Select an existing Aruba Central credential profile or create a new one. |
| Auto Sync | Enable this option to automatically sync firmware information at scheduled intervals. |
| Sync Every | Select the time interval for firmware synchronization. |
Select Reset to clear all entered values.
Select Test to validate the configuration.
Select Create Firmware Profile to save the profile.
By leveraging the Firmware Update Profile, you gain centralized visibility into firmware status across devices, proactive identification of outdated firmware, secure credential handling with automatic token refresh, and complete audit traceability for authentication and sync operations—making it easier to stay compliant, reduce operational risk, and standardize firmware governance across Aruba infrastructure.
