Motadata Release Notes Version 8.2.9
Release Date: October 05, 2026
What's New?
PostgreSQL Cluster Health and Performance Monitoring Added
PostgreSQL Clusters can now be monitored alongside standalone PostgreSQL instances, with cluster health, replication status, and node-level metrics available across the standard database monitoring workflows.
Apache Kafka Monitoring Added
With this release, Apache Kafka can be monitored using both agent-based and agentless collection. Discovery follows the same rediscovery settings flow used by other applications.
WAN Link Discovery With Cisco NX-OS Support Added
With this release, Cisco NX-OS joins Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco IOS-XR, and Juniper RPM as a supported OS, with ICMP Echo, UDP Echo, and UDP Jitter probes over SSH.
Topology Connection Width and Bold Label Controls Added
With this release, the topology visualization settings expose a connection width slider and a bold name toggle for node labels, alongside the existing overlay controls. Both settings apply to default and custom topologies.
Benchmark and Peak Order Counters for LAMA Integration Added
With this release, the LAMA integration adds two counters, Benchmark and Peak Order. Values are fetched and delivered to LAMA, alongside the existing categories.
Per-Interface CRC and FCS Error Monitoring Added
A dedicated CRC/FCS error counter is now available per network interface, distinct from the aggregate inbound-error signal, so network teams can spot failing cables, transceivers, or links early. The counter surfaces in Alert Policies across multi-vendor SNMP-monitored networks.
ArubaOS-Switch .swi Firmware Upgrade Support in NCCM Added
NCCM firmware upgrade now accept .swi images used by ArubaOS-Switch devices. The .swi extension is now part of the accepted firmware allow-list.
Enhanced Alert Suppression with Flexible window and Notes
With this release, users can suppress a single active alert from its detail view using a preset window, a custom length with a chosen unit (such as 45 minutes or 3 days), or until a specific future date and time. Suppressed alerts stay visible in the alert list with their resume time, and alerting fully pauses across state changes and notifications.
