Cisco Meraki

This document provides instructions for configuring Meraki devices to export Motadata NetFlow packets through the Cisco Meraki Dashboard.

  1. Navigate to Network-wide > Configure > General in the Dashboard.
  2. Locate the Motadata NetFlow configuration settings under the Reporting header, which include the following options:
    • Motadata NetFlow traffic reporting: Use the drop-down menu to enable or disable Motadata NetFlow functionality.
    • Motadata NetFlow collector IP: This option appears only if Motadata NetFlow traffic reporting is set to "Enabled: send Motadata NetFlow traffic statistics." Enter the IPv4 address of the Motadata NetFlow collector here.
    • Motadata NetFlow collector port: This option also appears only if Motadata NetFlow traffic reporting is set to "Enabled: send Motadata NetFlow traffic statistics." Configure the UDP port that the Motadata NetFlow collector will listen on.

Motadata NetFlow data can be exported to a collector on the LAN of an MX, across a site-to-site VPN connection, or over the public Internet.

After completing the configuration, navigate to Menu > Flow Explorer and select Explorer to view the active flow data.
