Alcatel (sFlow) Configuration

This document outlines the steps to configure Alcatel for sFlow flow export with ObserveOps Flow Explorer.

Configuration Steps

Configure the sFlow agent and receiver:

sflow agent ip {LOOPBACK_IP}
sflow receiver 1 name sFlowTrend address {MOTADATA_NETFLOW_SERVER_IP} udp-port 6343 packet-size 1400 version 5 timeout 0

Enable sFlow sampling and polling on each interface:

sflow sampler 1 {INTERFACE_NAME} receiver 1 rate 1024
sflow poller 1 {INTERFACE_NAME} receiver 1 interval 5

After completing the configuration, navigate to Menu > Flow Explorer and select Explorer to view the active flow data.
