Log Improvements

  • Sophos Logs

    A new URL column is added to the Sophos Advanced Syslog parser. This helps to view the URL details in the log. Also, added a new Sophos Detailed Syslog parser to view the Sophos log details. For this, the universal log parser plugin is upgraded to v9.7.

  • Windows Logs

    An event A computer account was created with IDs 4742 and 4743 now appears correctly in the Windows Computer Account Audit parser of Windows Logs.

  • Enable or Disable Log Parser Rules Without Service Restart

    The Log Parser Rules can now be enabled or disabled from the portal without restarting the Motadata service.

  • Parser for RuggedCom Switch Logs

    Users can now parse the RUGGEDCOM switch device logs using the RUGGEDCOM switch parser in the Universal Log Parser.

DLT Support Added to SMS Alerts

DLT(Distributed Ledger Technology), a blockchain-based registration system that manages and records sender IDs and templates for bulk SMS messages, can be enabled in the SMS alert plugin, addressing template formatting according to DLT with NMS to control the SMS spam.

Improved Report Access for Custom Super Admin Users

Super Admin users created by the Motadata Admin can now view and modify reports in the All Reports module.

Added Support of Custom Fields for NMS to ServiceOps Tickets

Users can now generate reports in ServiceOps including fields like Monitor Name and IP Address for the NMS to ServiceOps tickets.

Export SLA Penalty Details in the Report

Users can now view the SLA Contract penalty details in the SLA report. This is available only if the “SLA Contract Penalty Export” field is enabled on the Global Settings page. By default, it is enabled.

Enhanced Alert Correlation Functionality

  • A new Effective Up% column is added to the Availability report to provide more drilled-down and accurate insights into uptime metrics. This displays the total of Up and Disabled time.

  • The Inferred Backup Time data is now available for the Eton and FUJI UPS devices. This helps to calculate the duration from when the UPS is operating on the battery power till shutdown.

Multi-Layer Alert Correlation

The alert correlation functionality is now upgraded to a multi-layer approach, integrating within a unified interface. This upgrade provides more accurate alerts by considering only the parent device and interface status, not the child, reducing the number of duplicate ServiceOps incidents.

Bug Fixes

  • The ServiceOps Email and SMS actions now work as expected with an alert.

  • Users can now get a more specific Availability report using the newly added columns that indicate Up, Down, and Effective Up (Up + Disabled Time) time.
