What’s New?

Single dashboard for Server/Application Monitoring

A single dashboard for all the applications is added with the below improvements:

  • A single tile will appear with the Count of Alerts.
  • The color of the tile will be of the highest severity alert shade.
  • A list of all live alerts will be shown when the tile is selected.

WAN Discovery and Credential Profiles

A new section is added in Admin > WAN Monitor for monitoring all WAN links. Also, all new WAN Discovery and Credentials profiles can be viewed, created and assigned using this feature.


All the WAN links and performance metrics will be visible with the addition of the plugin ICMP Echo and ICMP Jitter with version 1.0.


Addition of Source Type Filter

The Source Type field is added for Filter in the Availability section under Report in the below types of view listed:

  1. Gauge
  2. Grid
  3. Top’N

Log Parser for Firewall

All raw log patterns for Watchguard Firewall are considered for parsing the logs. For this, the plugin Universal Log parser is updated to version 8.9.


Addition of Azure Kubernetes for monitoring

New KPIs and services are added for Azure Kubernetes with the required parameters for monitoring. For this new plugin MS Azure Kubernetes is added with version 1.0.


IP SLA Trap Polling

We have monitor polling, based on set poll time, so when the link goes down, the link status will get on the next poll. Thus, to avoid this we will now do polling based on Trap.


SFTP and SCP added for NCM

Support of SFTP and SCP protocol is added for NCM discovery/Backup/actions, for which the plugin SSH NCM Collector is updated to version 4.7.


Amazon Elastic Search Plugin

Support is added for Amazon Elastic Search Cloud monitoring services, and for this, the plugin Amazon elastic search is added with version 1.0.


Redis Plugin

A new plugin Redis Metric Collector which collects Redis metrics including Redis-cli statistics, latency, and memory usage is added with version 1.0.


Default templates

Default templates are provided for the plugins listed below:

  • Cisco Switch
  • Cisco Router
  • Cisco Firewall
  • Juniper Switch
  • Juniper Router
  • Juniper Firewall

Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)

Support is added for Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Cloud monitoring services. And for this, the plugin Amazon Elastic Kubernetes is added with version 1.0.


Version Upgrade

JDK is upgraded from version 8 to 11 and Jetty from version 9.4.45 to 10.


Improvement in Table content

For improvising the data displayed in the table for columns such as Tags, in case of multiple information, a pop-over is added for viewing along with the below points:

  • More than 1 tag will be shown as a pop-over
  • Widgets Width will be set to Auto if properties are set to 0%
  • Scrollbar will be visible if the number of columns is increased on the monitor screen

Displaying Linux OS variants with version

The versions and flavors of the Linux variant will be displayed now. For this, the plugin Amazon Linux and Linux is updated to version 7.8 and 8.9 respectively.


GO Package Installation

All GO packages are removed to reduce the size of the upgrade patch, which will now be handled using worker.


Custom fields added

Custom fields can now be added to rules and also viewed on the metric grid widget for the Report.


Firmware Upgrade Report

A tab of Firmware Report is added in the Firmware upgrade section to view the monthly/specific time device firmware upgrade activity details. The report can be viewed and downloaded in pdf and csv format.


Ping Utility Tool

As a part of the improvement, options of ‘From Current Node’ and ‘From Other Node’ is added in Utilities > Ping checker in the admin section. This feature helps for the ping activity from source devices for all SNMP devices discovered with cli flag enabled to any destination device with a valid IP address.


Auto Upgrade feature for Data Nodes, JDK, and Jetty

Data Nodes, JDK and Jetty will be upgraded automatically now.


Improved Alerts sync with RPE and slave flow

Due to fewer sync issues, the alert cache architecture flow is changed from file to report DB base. Also for this now, the query insertion is done batch-wise to avoid load on DB/Server.


Support for SHA256 & SHA512 is added

In addition to MD5, support for SHA protocol is also added for device discovery authentication.


Default SNMP template

In case, if no OOTB template is assigned to Network/SNMP devices, then the system will attach the SNMP template automatically.


Net flow and Log Worker License

We are issuing licenses in accordance with a daily quota. If the complete authorized amount of data is spent before 24 hours, then in the case of higher usage, the Net flow and Log worker services will be terminated as soon as the license data is finished.


Debug Log Switching

All the DEBUG logs will be switched to INFO logs after 20 Minutes.


Datanode Upgrade Logs

The Upgrade Logs and Audits of Datanode Upgrade activity can be viewed in the Audit Logs section now.


Node and Pod level KPIs added

Node & Pod level KPIs for Azure Kubernetes Service is added with version 1.2.

Bug Fixes

  • An issue was reported where the master was sending the NCM firmware upgrade request to all the RPE's, which is resolved. Now, the master will send the upgrade request only to the RPE to which the device belongs.

  • There is an issue observed where, when the device in RPE is down, the severity turns to none when the flap count is changed, which is resolved now.

  • The logo was not getting updated in the report when downloaded, which is resolved now.

  • Monitor Go polling was having issues in metric timeout, which is now resolved. Here, Unit64 and AES128 encryption methods are supported.

  • An issue was reported in API, where outputs were not specific to monitor id’s for live monitor alerts, which is resolved now.

  • In flow, an exception in parsing the date-time format for Netflow V5 and V9 which is resolved now. For this, the plugins Netflow v5 and Netflow v9 are updated to version 5.8 and 5.7 respectively.

  • There were a few issues observed related to Discovery in Cloud devices which are resolved now. For which the below plugins are updated:
