What's New?​

Unified Global Inventory Added​

With this release, ObserveOps introduces a Unified Global Inventory: a single screen that lists every asset and shows which signals each one is sending. If any signal such as APM, RUM, or Log is not yet enabled for an asset, you can enable it.

Automatic APM Instrumentation for .NET Added​

With this release, the APM Auto Detect Instrumentation Method supports .NET on both Linux and Windows. .NET applications running on hosts and virtual machines can be discovered and instrumented automatically.

Automatic APM Instrumentation for Docker Applications Added​

With this release, ObserveOps extends automatic APM instrumentation from hosts and virtual machines to Docker environments, with support for Java and .NET applications running inside containers. The Motadata Agent installed on the Docker host discovers running containers, identifies supported runtimes, and reports them for one-click instrumentation.

eBPF-Based APM Instrumentation for Docker Added​

With this release, eBPF-based APM instrumentation extends from hosts and virtual machines to Docker containers. Once eBPF is enabled on the Motadata Agent on the Docker host, supported applications inside containers are discovered and onboarded to APM seamlessly, with no image, code, or per-container agent changes required.

APM Error Tracker Trend View Added​

With this release, the APM Error Tracker adds a trend view alongside the existing list view, at both the global and per-service levels. The chart updates with the selected time range so you can spot error spikes and patterns, and clicking a point drills into the error records for that interval.

Business Service Grouping for APM Heatmap Widgets Added​

The APM Heatmap widget now supports Business Service as an option in the Result By dropdown, so each tile represents one Business Service instead of multiple service-level tiles.

No Trace Received Alerts Added for Manually Instrumented APM Services​

With this release, manually instrumented APM services include a new Telemetry Health Monitoring section during registration for enabling No Trace Received alerts. The system tracks the last trace timestamp per service, raises an alert if no traces arrive within the configured window, and auto-resolves once trace flow resumes. This capability applies to manual instrumentation only.

Detailed NCCM Compliance Reports Added​

This release adds a dedicated Out-of-the-box Compliance category under NCCM Reports, including the Executive Summary Report and Audit Policy Report. Users can also download per-device compliance summaries using the PDF icon on the compliance screen or the Export PDF option in the NCCM Compliance tab.

Geo Map Integration Added​

This release adds Geo Map integration in ObserveOps to visualize branch locations along with associated monitor and alert information. Administrators can configure the integration from Settings > Integrations by selecting Street Map or Google Map providing the required API key. Once configured, the Geo Map is available from the Main Menu through the Geo Map option.

Service Map Now a Dedicated Tab in APM Service​

The Service Map is now a dedicated tab for every instrumented APM service, alongside Transactions, API Endpoint, Database, JVM, Error Tracker, and Logs. The Service Map visualizes upstream, downstream, database, and external-service dependencies for the selected service, with health and severity indicators on each node.

Top 10 Process Runbook Result Email for Recurring Metric Alerts Added​

When a Metric Alert Policy has a Top 10 Active Process runbook configured under Take Action, every subsequent trigger of the same alert now sends an additional email with the runbook output alongside the standard notification email. The first occurrence continues to send only the standard email, and if no runbook is attached the notification workflow remains exactly as before.

Ad-Hoc Report Export from Preview Without Saving Changes Added​

Users can now open a saved report in Edit mode, temporarily change parameters such as device or source selection, timeframe, filters, and columns, preview the updated result, and export in any supported format (PDF, Excel, HTML) without altering the saved configuration or its scheduler. Closing Edit mode discards the temporary changes, and the next scheduled execution continues to use the original saved configuration.

Optional BCC Recipients Added to Alert Notification Policies​

With this release, Motadata Observeops shows a + Bcc option under the Notification section. Selecting it opens a new BCC field that supports the same recipient selection as To, and the enhancement applies only to email notifications.

APM Error Tracker Split into Endpoint API Error and Exception Tabs​

The combined APM Error Tracker is replaced with two dedicated tabs on both the global and per-service screens: Endpoint API Error and Exception. Each tab has its own summary cards, table, search, column chooser, export, and pagination, and every record is classified as exactly one type so counts reconcile with raw data.

Out-of-the-Box Flow Security Policies Added​

With this release, ObserveOps ships with a set of out-of-the-box Flow security policies covering common threats such as DNS attacks, DDoS UDP reflection, and ICMP floods. The policies are available on both fresh installations and upgrades.

Distributed Tracing Enabled by Default for New APM Installs​

On fresh installations of ObserveOps with the APM add-on, distributed tracing is now enabled by default.
