Rollback/Fail over Steps

Motadata Master Server

1. Stop the Motadata service.

2. [For physical machine only] Restore the backup of /motadata/motadata folder as taken in Backup installation Steps.:

   cp -r /home/backup/motadata/ ../../../../motadata/motadata

3. [For virtual machine only] Revert the snapshot of virtual machine as taken in Backup Installation Steps.

4. Start Motadata service.:

   service motadata start

Motadata RPE Client Server

1. Stop the motadata service.

2. Restore the backup of lib from the backup folder:

   cp /home/backup ../../motadata

3. Restore the backup of workers from the backup folder e.g. /opt/workers/.

4. Start the motadata service.
