How to install Amazon RDS Plugin

Please download the following link as well as follow the steps in order to apply plugin in Motadata:

  1. Download the above link

  2. Extract the downloaded zip file

  3. Go to Motadata GUI -> Admin -> Motadata Apps

  4. Click on New and select both files (.yml as well as zip file) and upload

  5. Search with Amazon RDS and play the IP

  6. Once are done, it will ask to restart the motadata service

  7. Login to motadata server and restart service of motadata by using following command:

    • service motadata stop

    • service motadata status

    • service motadata start

  1. Now, open Motadata GUI and while discovering select device type as Amazon RDS. If you select Amazon RDS as device type, you will need to create credentials profile with device type “Amazon RDS”

  2. Then follow the procedure to discover Amazon RDS device

Pre-requisite to discover Amazon RDS Monitors

  • Login to Motadata server with command line and run the following command in order to apply the library of Amazon:

  • pip install boto
