Motadata NMS Plugins

The plugins in Motadata performs a set of actions like parsing data, running discovery and collecting information from devices. For example: you’ll need Linux (SNMP) plugin to collect the SNMP related information from Linux devices.

Based on the type of action, plugins are categorized in following types (See Plugin Actions)

• Action Plugins: Performs different operations in Motadata.

• Flow Parsers: Collects the information of ‘Flow’ from monitors.

• Log Collectors: Collects the monitor logs.

• Log Parsers: Parse the logs collected in system.

• Metric Collectors: Retrieves the collected data in the system.

• NCM Collector: Performs read/write operations in NCM devices.

• Output Writers: Move the information in different database.

• Scheduler Jobs: Performs the jobs configured in schedulers.

• Stream Listeners: Listens the SNMP traps.
